Meet Jen and Bob, the proud, owners behind JW Cleaning in Anoka, MN.
At JW Cleaning, everything begins with a call to serve, and for Jen, that calling has always been clear. Working as an OB-GYN nurse and part-time waitress, she loved helping others and bringing comfort to her patients. But deep down, she felt there was something more she could offer and a consistent little push to explore that feeling. Remembering her early days as a single mom in the early 2000s, when she cleaned homes to support her family, Jen realized that her love for serving others and creating warm, welcoming spaces never left her.
With gentle encouragement from a realtor friend, prayer, and her family’s support, she decided to transition from nursing to part-time cleaning work along with part-time waitressing. Little did she know that in March 2020, the world would quickly change, leaving her with just her very new and very small cleaning business and a leap of faith. But as always, Jen knew that her love of helping others and trust that God would guide the way, wouldn’t fail. By May 2020, she and her two adult daughters were jumping in the car together every morning, cleaning homes full-time, serving each client and home with the same care and warmth she’d always brought to her patients. That one small start quickly blossomed into a family-run business which now serves 130 clients with a team of 10 and growing! God definitely had plans that Jen definitely did not know about yet!
Today, JW Cleaning is led by Jen, who manages operations, and her husband Bob, who joined her in 2023. With his background being in the Navy and building or remodeling homes for families for 25+years, Bob brings both skill and balance to the business, supporting Jen in making every client, home, and employee feel cared for and heard. Together, they have a blended family of five adult children and three grandchildren and are always grateful for the time they spend together, whether working or watching their grandkids play. To Jen and Bob, JW Cleaning isn’t just about cleaning houses; it’s about serving, top of the line customer service, relationships, trust, and the chance to make life a little easier for the families they serve and the amazing, hardworking employees they entrust their business to.
Our mission is simple: “to care for each home and family we serve with warmth, integrity, and genuine dedication.” For us, it’s all about lifting people up and creating a clean, comforting space where families can focus on what truly matters. We’re honored to partner with Cleaning for a Reason to offer complimentary services for cancer patients, hoping to bring a little light and relief during difficult times.
